It was a proud moment for Cattle for Africa as 40 quality Bonsmara’s were offloaded at their new home in Malawi.
We are grateful for yet another safe delivery of quality cattle to a happy customer.
The order was made up of 35 pregnant heifers and 5 top Bonsmara bulls.
The bulls originated from the Orange Free State and the heifers from the Eastern Cape.
The 6 day journey took them through Beit Bridge into Zimbabwe, then through Mozambique and finally into Malawi.
To keep them in the best possible condition, the cattle are fed alfalfa and watered on the truck. By restricting the number of cattle per truck load – we ensure that the animals are comfortable with enough space to lie down and rest during the long journey.
We wish our clients all the very best with this lovely herd they have purchased. We are happy to have been a part of this exciting project in supplying them with a very strong foundation to begin their new herd in Malawi.
