And we can officially add Uganda to the list!
Cattle for Africa sourced and supplied an impressive batch of 124 Ayrshire Heifers for our client in Uganda. The cattle were airfreighted in two loads during December and all arrived safely.
Ayrshires are becoming increasingly difficult to find on the market lately in South Africa, and we were extremely grateful to secure this beautiful batch of quality heifers. There is a lot of interest for Ayrshires in Africa and the South African herds provide an exceptional heat and disease tolerant foundation for new herds in Africa.
It was a great pleasure meeting our client from Uganda who flew out to inspect the heifers. His passion, professionalism, experience and knowledge was clear – and it was wonderful to spend some time with him.
Everything went very smoothly and we were fortunate to have all the blood work finalised before the laboratory closed for December holidays.
We look forward to working together again in 2022.
