April has been quite a busy month for us. Cattle for Africa sourced and supplied an impressive 140 dairy cattle for three different orders, all going to Zambia. It was imperative that we sourced all the cattle as quickly as possible to make sure that all our clients get their cattle as timeously as possible. Top quality Jersey and Holstein heifers were sourced from farms in the Eastern & Western Cape.
The cattle entered their isolation period and underwent our standard procedure of inoculations on arrival to keep them healthy whilst they await export. Our veterinarian drew blood for the blood tests that we are required to undertake by the Zambian import permit. All the animals tested negative and after three weeks of weekly inspections by our state veterinarian, the cattle were ready to be loaded. Loading went off without a hitch and after a long journey via road, the cattle arrived safely at their respective destinations throughout Zambia.
We wish our clients much success with their new additions to their farms and hope to continue doing business with them in the future.
